aah the T-34, she was a beauty, undoubtedly the best tank design in World War 2.
It had a great combination of speed, armour and firepower though from what i have read it whas poor tactical employment that let it down.

panther tank is almost universally acknowledged as the best tank of ww ii,so by extension,it must be the best designed tank of ww ii
Hi MM,
The panther was without a doupt one of the best, probably saw more action than any other tank but as to what one thinks was the best has to come down to some criteria such as-
Firepower, armour, mobility, rate of production and combat affectiveness.
This thread is more about personal preference though, with that said here is another of my favs-
The Sherman firefly
I like the look of the early tanks as a Vickers and Soviet T-26. They was in use in practically all of the conflicts. Beginning from Spain, Khasan, Khalkhin-Gol, Finnish War and surely in the World war too. They are far from the power armor as a T 34, and Tigers, but fullfill with the history and I like his glory, shape and simplicity. I like the flamethrower M 26

Definitly the CharB1. not the prettiest flower in the bunch, but was a force to be reckoned with during the battle of France....at least until Stukas bombed them to hell
Wow, im ashamed to admit that there are a few tanks being mentioned here that i have never heard of untill now, That CharB1 for example, what a unique shape and with 2 guns.
Here is another of my favs-
The M3 Stuart
Char B is indeed has a nice story too, and I like the giant looks of Char B and Soviet T 28 as well
