Gunny, you have just listed two that I would have recommended, although I believe both of them are hard to come by. Also try Falcons of France by Charles Nordhoff, about the Lafayette Escadrille.
I love 'Under an English Heaven' by Robert Radcliffe.
It transports you to wartime England and is beautifully written

A Man from Alamein by C Mcdonald Hull a brilliant book about the British Army in the Western desert based on the Green Howards.
