In no particular order
Talvisota
Platoon
Apocalypse Now-Redux
Downfall
Those have been my favourites for a long time, and Downfall makes the list because its not the usual "RATATATATATATAT BOOM" movie and it is really interesting to watch.
As an extra to those who know finnish or have time to look up subtitles, you should see Uuno Turhapuro Armeijan Leivissä, its a really funny movie about Uuno getting to be a high ranking officer in the Finnish Defence Forces.
Favourites (in no particular order):
Das Boot (german w. subtitles)
Der Untergang
Stalingrad (german version)
The Pianist
Apocalypse Now
Band of Brothers and The Pacific (not movies but more than worthy)
Platoon
Talvisota (Winter War)
Thinking about getting "Die Brücke", read a lot of good things about it...has anyone seen it?
What do you guys think of the movie 'The way back'?
Regards
Das Boot was a great book and film but the acting was atrocious !
