I'm sure this is easy if you know it, but IMO, some of these questions are getting a bit obscure and in this case, being famous after the war is probably outside most people's area of knowledge. Certainly not someone I recognise. Was he famous militarily or in some other field?

Sven Hassel? This was my first guess, but decided to go with Heinrich as he was German and I had not seen this picture. If it is Hassel, the film was wheels of terror.
