Cheers Dave but i was only dropping hints.
CAC Boomerang. She turned out to be a good ground attack airframe in the end with it's 20mm cannon and strong construction.

This one may be a tad more difficult.
What type of aircraft is this wreckage and why is it one of the most important crash sites of WW2.
It went down due to lightning.

It's the Betty bomber that Admiral Isoruko Yamamoto was killed onboard when the Americans read the Japanese codes of his journey and bushwhacked him with a squadron of Lightning fighters.

That would be Calvin Graham of the U.S. Navy. At 12 years old he was the youngest U.S. serviceman of WWII.

He served on the U.S.S. South Dakota and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star at Guadalcanal. After his age was revealed he was locked in the brig, had his medals taken away, and was dishonorably discharged. He eventually got his medals back. He passed away in 1992.

Balls of steel on that guy, I'd say.

That was a good one Ned. If I hadn't have seen his face before I would have never recognized him.

Here's a guy who isn't heard of very often. What was his name, his 'first', and his ancestry?

    Are you all stumped?

He accomplished his 'first' after WWII, but it was military-related.
