A helmet's history ruined...

Article about: I see what you are saying Corey, but it depends when the strap was added. It could have been a pretty worn lid before it was put on, if period. Pics are quite poor really so who knows.

    This guy on eBay had a nice combat M35 with the rarest of things, a breadbag strap genuinely attached since the war. Well, just look......

    I thought it looked alright, the other side with the twist in the strap looked convincing in the advert. I'd feel much better if it was bad.

    Strange the method of logical thinking,if the 2 items are sold seperately then there's more cash to be made,but it doesn't always work out that way,to which the seller may find out!!!if the strap is genuine and original to the lid then surely it would attract more attention if they stayed together wouldn't it?regards minnie.

    In my opinion the strap was added post war. Just look at the wear all over the helmet, especially the very top. It does not make sense that the wear under the strap would match the wear not under it.
