This is an interesting thread,
After WW1 Hitler continued to sport the large across the lip mustache so popular at that time. But during the 1920's with all the political in fighting, with plenty of small parties all after power. His history say's he wanted to stand out from the others, to get his face well known and remembered. To do this he came up with the idea of shaving the sides off his mustache and also growing his fringe to create the flick. Many initially thought this look ridiculous and laughed but it worked. He stood out on the political posters his look wasn't forgotten he was remembered. With a little time and people started to copy some to further their careers. Many be he was a fashion setter don't know but the rest is history.....
But even today you draw a small black line with black triangle above and it's instantly recognised, it would have been a trade mark designers dream.
LUCKYSTRIKE
Good point, mate.
Wasnt Hitler a Charlie Chapman fan and liked him so much he bought the moustache? ..
