Horrific and moving - D Day Omaha Beach MG42 gunner meets GI

Article about: I did a search on Severloh and stumbled over this segment on youtube. Its about Heinrich Severloh who was a young MG gunner in Normandy during D-Day. He stuck to his MG and K98 all day long

    You might be interested to know that one of our members i believe found the exact spot of WN62, and found the changed out barrels of his mg

    Do a search for" D-DAY Omaha beach Mg Barrel found", Chris found two mg barrels beside the WN62 bunker, at least one is suspected as being from the gunner involved

    What is this documentary called in English? I dont understand german unfortunately, and it's clear it's been dubbed over from english; so there may be an english version around.

    There was, but i cant remember what it was called, i thought it was something like "Bloody Omaha"

    There is an English language documentary about Hein Severloh and David Silva have seen it a couple of times !!

    and thanks for posting about the find in the first place. The implications in regards to the barrels are staggering...to say the least.
