How do you pronounce this?

I don't know why I have waited so long before asking this question. How do you pronounce Luftwaffe? Is it ( Luft-wahf ) or ( Luft-wah-fuh ) or ( Loof-t-vah-f )? And just to make sure, is Heer pronounced ( here/hear )? And just for good measure, is Kriegsmarine suppose to sound like ( Kregz-muh-reen )? I'm from the South United States...

Take a look at some old German ww2 News on youtube where they speak german, then you can listen to how they pronounce the different words. This is the best i can think of.

I would say it luftwaffer. Kreegsmarine. Although don't think its that important.

What is annoying, on downton abbey last sunday, they kept saying Lady Anstruther! When it should be pronounced Lady 'Ainster'!
