You guys are pretty good, its is a Minigun barrel, 7.62X51 nato, made by H&R May 1968. Whole gun Weighed about 67# I thought the barrel date would clue you in pretty fast. in the army it was a M134 when mounted to the A/C. this barrel is new its never been in a gun. Don't have a clue what I will do with it been hanging on to it for about 40 years. They are still in use in various configurations. When they get about 100,000 rounds thru them you can look down the barrel and the rifling(whats left of the liner) will be hanging down in strips. Accuracy is not a biggie when you have two of them and only 6600 rounds of ammo at 4000rpm don't last long..

'Gatling gun' refers to the type of mechanism-post war modern types can be of many calibres from 5.56mm to 30mm. The barrel in this rifle is a surplus new M134 Minigun type.

UH-1 Huey Cockpit | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

This photo, and the one at the aviation museum where I go to help, say otherwise =p

EDIT - Ok, it's not actually a 'rudder' but you know what I meant!
EDIT 2 - Antitorque pedals, to be exact.

    Nitram

Rudders are on airplanes, and it is the right tail rotor pedal from a early Bell UH-1, the later ones have Bell on both pedals.
