I remember the inside rear cover of The American Rifleman magazine-it always had a ad for surplus guns on it. I particularly remember $50 Lugers, $35 dollar P-38's and most shocking of all, G-43's for $150 dollars. They always called them "The Pride of the German Army!" in their ads. 98K's were anywhere from $25-35 dollars and Carcanos and Enfields they couldn't give them away... If a person only would have had a crystal ball....
