Interesting war Movies

Hi all,

This topic always creates a good talking point, whether you like or dislike a particular movie for whatever reason, but I thought I would start off with some of my favourites, I have them on DVD, and instead of just typing in the name, I have photographed the covers (a bit of a shine as they are in their protective covers), but here we go for starters,

The only movie which was close to reality was "Das Boot" which i enjoyed many times. And a classic War movie is "Steiner das Eiserne Kreuz"

Some realistic sceens where in "Saving Private Rian" (the first 20 Minutes)
which where made very good, for the rest no comment

I had a DVD collection of Band of Brothers which i gave a way after watching one of them ...

My list of good war movies is not a long one

Here's a question .... Last night I turn on the tube and there's this movie playing...No idea what it was ..... about a Finnish University student in the SS who is chained to a rock and left with a sniper rifle. He frees himself and sets up shop with a Lapp woman who is taking care of a wounded (concussion) Red soldier.
Anyone know what movie that is? It was 2am and I had to get to bed. Guess I could have taped it.
