In the Regio Esercito the flamethrowers were not managed by Artillery but by Engineers, why does the different color piping and also the buttons that have the text "Genio Militare" (Military Engineers).

    Cheers

Well im certainly glad i picked it up today..they seem like a very elite unit, and i wouldnt think they would have had too many Majors..the one mentioned in the link wrote a book about Tobruk and El Alemain

The "Genio Guastatori" Major in the link is Paolo Caccia Dominioni, in fact he did not write only books on the Desert War, but he became famous for having spent 14 years in the desert to recover the bodies of fallen soldiers during the Battle of El Alamein, which were then buried in the famous Italian Sacrarium "Quota 33", that he had built in the african desert.
