KNIL Koninklijk Nederlands Indisch Leger or the Dutch Indian Army, canteen

I think most of us (me included!!) are not that familliar with the KNIL .
As a matter of fact they are the army that stood against the Japanese army during WWII in northern Java but wher mainly all made prisoner.
They got the name KNIL in 1832, before then they were originaly the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie/Dutch East India Company)soldiers.
KNIL experts, correct me if I am wrong!!
Anyway, here is the canteen!
It is because it was marked that I knew what it was, but even then the vendor didn't , and I got it for a fiver!
