    I found out about this via a concerned friend in York! It's lucky the digger scooped it up, rather than striking it!

    Funny that this has happened now, here in Dundee theres been 3 pieces of ordnance from the war found in the past week too

    So, was it a naval shell or a Luftwaffe bomb? It appears that the Kriegsmarine still haunts York, too...

    There is talk of it being a KM shell Mo, but we are 80 miles from the coast !
