Good one Morris, Yep will still be around in 100 years.
The Boatswains Call or Bosun's Whistle, has been around in basically the same form since before the Crusades. Whilst traditional in use today it was once a very important naval communication device on the decks of fighting ships of the past.
The good old Zippo lighter, used to light many lucky strikes
Good call here Adam
Even though designed for civilian use it became an iconic US piece of kit during WW2 and in later conflicts.
Did you know the basic design was Austrian (IMCO) and was improved by George G. Blaisdell the founder of Zippo for US production.
Far from just traditional, it is still in daily use in the Royal Navy.
I was stuck for a word and used "traditional" to describe "piping". Sorry if I missed the mark.
I tried to differentiate between this and their original use as a general communication device.
Sorry if I was a tad grey.

Never find a better one than the old BW boots, unfortunately my has lost the glue between the sole, and my wife drop them to the garbage.
