We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Mein Gott who could forget him!...
Not really a Nazi, per se.....but Jürgen Prochnow was superb as the Captain on "Das Boot"....(in fact, the entire Cast was excellent, imo)
Bruno Ganz was very good as Hitler in "Downfall" also..

Good thread Nick.
I'd echo the thoughts regarding Ganz (as Hitler in Downfall), Fiennes - who portayed Amon Göth in Schindler's List, Prochnow (Das Boot), Waltz (albeit patently in an entirely different type of role) in Inglourious Basterds - nevertheless, the man is a superb actor. I'd also mention Harvey Keitel in The Grey Zone, who plays Eric Mühsfeldt, and another mentioned earlier, Thomas Kretschmann, who is also always fine in his roles (Stalingrad, The Pianist, Downfall, Valkyrie and In Transit). Finally, I cannot fail to make note of Kate Winslet's portrayal of an ex-SS-Aufseherin in "The Reader", as she too, was superb.
For me Christian Berkel......my favourite character Dr Ernst-Gunt in Downfall, also starred in Valkyrie and Inglourious Basterds......
Chaplin in the great dictator.

Jerry
