Those guys were a big part of my life Saturday mornings, and weekdays
after school in the 1960's and early 70's. Makes me think that much
more of them after reading this story a few years ago.

And who could forget Lee Marvin in:

    The Dirty Dozen
    Cat Ballou
    Emperor Of The North
    Hell In The Pacific

And those are just off the top of my head !
    Regards,

    Steve.

I watched him when i was 2-6 years old and that was like in 2000's so he was still popular then.

This is an urban myth that has been going around the net for years.

Fred Rogers never served in any branch of the Armed Forces. This was debunked back in the mid-90's.

In that case a story I heard about him a few years back when I worked in Montana must be bogus. It went along the lines of him leading his squad into a 'ville somwhere up country and being misheard by his men when he shouted "...LET'S DO THE COOKING FOR THE WHOLE VILLAGE....!!!" And before you knew it, there was no village........

Rogers was a seminary student before TV and never saw a day in the military.
His beliefs would not have led him to tattoo himself in any manner.
The Bull$hit story about him being a Nam vet and heavily tattooed is pure crap.
