My Grandfather views on D-day

As been stated on this site before, my grandfather served in the Second World War. In fact, he was second wave during operation overlord "D-Day". He truly had a lot to fight for, that being he was an Jewish American with many family members in camps and distress. I've only heard stories from his brother; this due to he was killed in a train wreak on my mothers eighth birthday, that is until I stubbled upon this. Thought I would share it with you all as I am quite proud of him and only recently discovered this. Really wish I could have had the pleasure to discuss the war with him as I'm sure their are many untold stories. Thanks for viewing.

After release from the hospital, he went on to play the sax in a military band in Europe. I will upload more pictures and stories when time permits, thanks again.

By the way, his name is Harry Feldman and was from Harlingen Texas. If anyone has access to any information I would be very grateful to learn anything further.

And finally, here is what was found for Feldman (1,222 hits):

Unless I'm blind and totally missed it... I don't see a listing that matches for Harry Feldman from Harlingen, TX. Is it possible that Harry was just a nickname and his first name is totally different? Is it possible that he enlisted somewhere other than Harlingen?

If you happen to find have his serial number, just punch it in and you'll definitely find him on that database.

Thanks for the help Giz and everyone else. As said, he died way before my time, but I do know for sure his name was Harry as it was almost mine. I also know he was in college when he enlisted, therefore the enlistment probably wasn't in Harlingen, that's just where he was from. Again, thank you for the footwork. Sadly, not much info. survives to this day. A small family which moved to Galvaston after his death, remarried, and anything left of his memory was lost in a flood but this album, his stamp collection, some photos, and wallet.

As well it says, Harry J. Feldman Pvt. 38556701

You have all the info you need to find what you want.
Just contact Nara and say he was your grandfather.
You will get a lot more that way.
