D-Day was some very intense fighting and survival for all forces involved on that day. Thanks for sharing these photos.

Thank you Larry. I was quite happy to find this. Until now, I've only heard stories from his brother. Of course, stories are just stories, so to have proof, it makes it that more real for me. He was an amazing man, not just because his services but due to he was a loving husband, who LOVED his children and as well created two very successful business which included a liquor store, at one point the largest distributor of liquor in Texas, as well as a real state company. I just wish we meet, but hey, maybe one day.

Might I add, while viewing this book, I've learned he was quite the lady man. He has over 15 pictures kissing different girls. He was just on ole' chip off the ole' block if I might say.

Often you will find that those who became mentally stronger from such life experiences were also successful in other endeavors thereafter. Sadly the inverse is also true, those that could not compartmentalize the horror, floundered in life afterwards,...such is the vulnerabilities of being human and our individual ability to persevere.

Thank you for sharing your intimate family history.
    Regards,
    John
