My trip to U-995 in the newspaper

    Nice one Nuno, I am really getting into submarines lately in more ways than one !!

    I would like to visit that myself , we used to have a complete U-Boat not far from where I live, but they had to cut it into pieces to display it which was a shame

    Indeed, the decision to move U-534 was not an issue, but what they then did to that boat was terrible. In my opinion, they ruined a fantastic display. The boat should have been covered, not cut up. I believe that she is still the only intact U-Boat raised from the deep too, and feel fortunate to have been able to enjoy several walk-through tours when she was intact. Who knows, perhaps one day they will remove the glass panels and weld her back together...

    Yeah, I agree it was a real shame !! I never got the chance to go inside it however

    I could not believe it to be honest when I heard about what they did to it !! Such a fantastic relic and they do that to it !!!!! Bizarre !!!
