Kanal is great but this is a different type of a movie. It is made using original footage with added voice over by the war correspondents.

I personally am not a great fan of these types of artificially coloured archive films to me it takes away from the feel of the time but if it means others will be encouraged to watch a Polish film about the Rising then that's all good

I think it needs to be colorized to reach a wider audience - especially younger people - similar to War in Colour series.
I hope english version is made soon so that the rest of world can see it.

I recall an anecdote I was told not too long ago by museum director regarding the use of archive black and white film in a WWII documentary and a student asked him why the film was made in black and white? Could they not afford to make the film in colour?...one has to smile
