i did a bit of research on ancestry but a few dont have any records online yet or they have not survived

Wayne just a quick bit of info for you , 12 / 13 DLI served in WW1 as part of 68th Brigade , 23rd Div from 13th September 1914 to 11th Nov and 14th Sept 1918 respectively.
They were raised as part of the K3 Recruitment.
They crossed to france on 26/8/1915 and went into the tenches at Bois Greniers and Armentieres on the Lys , in Nov 1915 Thomas Kenny of 13 Bn won the fisrt DLI VC of the war at La Houssoye.
Both Bn's fought on the Somme from early July 1916 fighting at such famous places as La Boiselle , Bazentin ridge, Pozieres, Le Sars finally leaving the Somme in Oct 1916 for the Ypres Salient.
June 1917 they were involved in the attack at Messines in the salient , September 1917 they fought in the battle of the Menin Road ridge and then third battle of Ypres at Gheluvelt.They then fought in Italy until june 1918 when after the Piave offensive the 13th BN returned to France the 12th remaining in Italy till the end of the war.

Try to get some more light (not Flashlight) on the Items and if possible use some kind of stand when you photograph them. Good pictures are a key issue here on this forum... And YES I have learnedWELOCOME here from snowy Finland.
