Hi guys,
This thread got me thinking as to how much of my "old kit" I still actually use on a regular basis, so here goes.

58ptn web-belt, usually worn either with a pair of my old DPM combats or a pair of US combats, (repro), that I have.
I keep one of my old 58ptn water-bottles in the bike top-box so Ive always got at least a drink of water with me.
My old quilted combat jacket liner is still in use, (I usually keep it in the car in the winter as an extra layer.
My old folding intrenching tool, usually used at digs these days.
A British desert DPM floppy hat, that my son gave me whilst on leave from Iraq a few years ago.
A British temperate DPM floppy hat that I was issued a LONG time ago.
My old E&E kit still gets used when teaching at Scouts.
My old "head-over" gets used whilst on the bike in the winter.
I still have a pair of my original issue hi-leg combat boots, that are only worn for parades these days. (I was issued these about 1982 and they are still going strong!)

When I was in my teens in the mid 1970's, I used to wear an old BD blouse, because "it was the fashion".

My youngest son, (19 next March), still does!
It was bought for a college play, and it is very rarely off his back (If memory serves right, I think that we got it from Ranger Supplies in Surbiton, Surrey)

I must check and see if its still got a label in it!

When going through abandoned houses and places like that I use a late or post war American helmet and my dads Military belt with a canteen on it

I still wear my 58 pattern belt with water bottle pouch and sometimes kidney pouches to go fishing with along with a floppy desert hat and in the winter i sometimes wear a thick US down filled flying suit i believed to be ww2 issue, but its becoming a tad frayed so its relegated to the bottom drawer, i also use my para issue arctic sleeping bag with the gortex cover, warm as toast on cold nights. PS. Im trying to get my wife to wear her gold mothers cross and ribbon, nothing else, just the cross and ribbon

i wear a u.s. EM's wool coat on cold days. mines dated 1940.

i remember back in 2003 when i was in 6th grade one of my classmates brought a luftwaffe officer's visor in to show us for a project he was doing on family history. i remember him wearing it to school that day. he passed it around to a bunch of rowdy 6th graders and damned near ruined the thing... i felt like i had to protect it : /

Still got, and use my old Arctic "maggot" as well Dave.

Liner + Maggot + Arctic cover = A VERY warm Jimpy in ANY conditions.
