    I total agree M34.
    WW2 civic helmet.

    Actually you might be right I just looked an M34 up online and it is similiar. There is no decal on front as it is very worn. No side shots yet to see the port holes.

    I'd take a wild guess and say either DD fire/police or early police floating swastika with tilted tricolor. Fakes of these helmets do not come up too often since they are civilian helmets. The wear on these helmets is sometimes strange which could explain the sporadic scratching.

    The best book on German helmets is Germany's Combat Helmets 1933-1945: A Modern Study by Ken N.

    Copies come up on eBay every so often.

    Great thank you Sir payne. The decals would be on the side or front on a civilian helmet. The wear is very strange on the outside. There is a white colored rivot on the rear inside of the helmet. I can post 4 pics in the helmet section that I have so far. The seller is sending me close-ups.
