safely selling items..how is this done?

..so i want to sell an authentic Knights Cross....very expensive....how is this done safely and securely with buyer and seller getting their $$$ and item?

If I do not know the people it’s with PayPal services, if know the person I use PayPal friends/gift.

I'd do a bank transfer if it's someone without references.

If they have solid references, or I know them personally, I'd do check or PayPal.

Tricky. This is a hobby built on trust. Selling between known members is the best way to go. If you are selling to someone you don't know, you could consider putting it up on consignment with a dealer (but they will take a cut of the profits).
