I too went to that terrible flea market when i went to Krakow whilst on the Auschwitz trip weekend , the market was on a Sunday and that is where i got sold a fake helmet , a fake close combat clasp and a fake u-boat clasp which were both said to have been dug. Glad you will be staying away from that hole , have a great time Gunny and no doubt you'll bring some great militaria back.I'm flying out to Krakow at 7am tomorrow for a weeks holiday, i'm going to spend a couple of days at the Krakow tattoo convention and pay a visit to a couple of dealers i have used before to buy some tasty TR bits and pieces.
I wont be buying anything from the famous or should that be infamous Plac Nowy flea market, the last time i was there a trader was trying to convince me to buy a "totally real" Stalingrad shield
