I'm new to collecting WWII relics, and I was wondering if someone could explain to me the terms "salty" and "out of the woodwork" for me? Thanks.

This should be fun.
Salty- Well-used. An item in generally considered to be "salty" when it has a lot of paint missing, rust, mothing, overall wear, etc.
Out of the woodwork- This is any item that just recently came from a vet, a relative of a vet, or was found in an attic or basement somewhere, thus it has never been in a collection.
