skull's used by different army's

I just wanted to start a threat showing skull's used by different army's and different army branches.
Painted on... vehicles..., insigna's ,...., what ever is military related.
Going from the Queen's Royal Lancers over the Finnish army and so on.
Maybe not just the time to do it, but never the less it might reveal intresting details.

I will get the ball rolling with the 17th/21st lancers (Now the Queens Royal lancers) cap badge of the British Army.

Yes, these are very popular badges and much faked.

Mine dates from the 1980's. The Regt disliked the issue "staybrite" badges so they had proper metal ones made.

Never callled a cap badge by the Regt: it was always known as "The Motto".

The design of the skull changes a little over the years.

Great idea for a thread. Unfortunately, I have nothing of my own to conrtibute, but look forward to the many nationalities of skulls. I have seen skulls used at some point by dozens of armies in their insignia.

Excellent idea for a thread.

This first one only is mine.

When the moronic PC brigade start yammering aboout abhorrent skulls and how they all should be thrown on the rubbish heap of history because of the terrible SS implications, I show them that first badge and the Polish 'Deaths Hussars' skull/cross and inform them about von Mackensen et al and the very old traditions concerning the insignias long preceeding the TR.
