'Sleeper' move recommendation - 'Sahara' with James Belushi.

No, not that Sahara movie after the Clive Cussler novel and featuring an old Confederate 'Monitor' in the desert.

This WWII drama is a very much 'under the radar' movie and made for TV, but its actually quite decent.

Allied stragglers in a tank escape after the fall of Tobruk and defend a location in the desert against overwhelming German odds.

I wont reveral spoilers, but there is plenty info on the movie to be had on both imdb.com and wiki.

Suffice it to say, that its a quite decent movie for what it is.

What I also found interesting, is that its a re-make of a 1943 movie with Humphrey Bogart....which is again based on a Russian move called 'Thirteen.'

Anybody seen 'Sahara?'

I never watched the remake, but the original with Bogey is, in my opinion, one of the best WWII movies ever made. I watch it 4 or 5 times a year. Jim G.

Like mentioned above, I also have not seen the remake but have watched the Bogart movie every time I have found it on TV.

For the record; I'm not recommending that anybody move to Sahara in a registered partnership with James Belushi
Its a mistake in the title and should of course be 'movie.'
