My prayers go out to all our Russian friends who were effected by the meteor strike just hours ago. Over a thousand people so far have been reported injured, as well as thousands of dollars in damages. I hope none of our forum members were affected by this horrible natural disaster. So far we can be grateful that no deaths have been reported.

Another, much larger, meteor is also passing the earth today as well. This one should not hit according to calculations, but it with get as close as some of are satellites are.

An astronomer I just watched on TV stated that the force of impact, if that one was to hit the earth, would have been 300x the force of the nuclear bomb dropped on Hiroshima --- I find it to be quite amazing that we aren't hit more frequently by this space debris...

Anyway, I hope this one didn't cause too many serious injuries!

Relax! Nothing too serious happened. But broken windows are not too good when there is minus 18C outside. At least no one got killed.
