    Guys,

Todays finds on the local market.

The belt is odd but right, I haven't got one with rounded edges to the buckle, any ideas?

The folding spade was a bonus, it was in the American carrier and is painted green but it is a German one!

The box is for the 10 litre chemical weapon, 4 to a box, fortunately empty!

The usual post cards and monthly mags.

Hi Jock, you have had a good day by the looks of it! Nice one!

The "Airfix" soldiers bring back happy childhood memories. I have given mine to my Grandson to play with as part of my brain washing programme He is going to get my collection one day.

The belt is a political leaders example.

The Entrenching tool was a particularly good find.

    Cheers, Ade.

Yes, Ade I'm happy with the spade, the dealers were all there but with only the handel visible it was overlooked, €5 well spent the belt was €2! I will post todays haul shortly, there is an odd luftwaffe badge that I would like your opinion on. It is from the same guy that gave me the WW1 Tank badge he is coming round this week with the paperwork for the tank badge.

Kungfuty, keep looking, you make your own luck mate.

    Regards

    Jock

A few more bits and bobs today, if anyone has any thoughts on the strange luftwaffe type badge I would be keen to know.

Are there still a lot of nice items to be found on German fleamarkets?

    Nick,

You can go a couple of weeks and get nothing then the next week fill your car. Its just pot luck. Most of it is swept up by dealers. I have recently quit drinking enabling me to get up early. The early bird gets the worm! The key thing is I'm lucky enough to have been stationed here most of my career so I know a few places to look. In summary it can be found but it is hard work especialy with the police clamping down on 'right wing' items.

What were the best items you ever found on those German flea markets (I love stories like these...)?
