The nuclear powered USS Enterprise,USS Longbeach and USS Bainbridge of Task Force 0ne during their 49 190km,65 day around the world cruise.
Sad to hear history fading away . . . and interesting to hear someone mention the USS Randolph . . . that was the ship my Dad sailed on back the 60's.
Tha tragic 14th Jan. 1969 deck fire caused when a Mk-32 Zuni rocket on a F-4 Phantom "cooked off" and the resulting secondry explosions.

15 aircraft were destroyed in the fires and sadly 27 lost their lives.
A futher 314 were injured.
The sadest moment of Big E's life.
