Vacation time coming up.

Hi, another vacation period is almost here.
Im still thinking about the destination, but im leaning towards channel islands, Normandy or somewhere Italy.
Regarding channel islands, Whats the best way to get there and the best island to stay?

Im now more inclined to Normandy, flight to Paris - train to Caen perhaps, rental car and go from there.
Still keeping options open.

One of my biggest regrets from my time studying in Europe is that I never made it to Normandy. My girlfriend at the time (now ex) was studying in Rouen, France and it would have been an easy trip to visit her and then tour Normandy.

If you've never been to Normandy, I'd say go there. If you're looking to explore Italy, let me know and I can make about a million suggestions.

Hi Joe, you should have visited the region.
We have finally decided on the destination to go.
Its Stuttgart, we will depart on the 13th of October and we will be driving throught the region, visit the city, its museums and Claus von Stauffenberg castle.
A rental car for 4 days and we will also drive to Strasbourg, visit some places of the Maginot line, the beautiful Swiss region of Schaffhausen and its waterfalls.

Munich and Dachau are very driveable from Stuttgart also.

Sinsheim museum is not far from Stuttgart. Plenty of WW2 German armour and aircraft. I had a great day there!
