War Horse

I saw this film last night and was very impressed by the WW1 scenes of trench warfare, no-man's land, etc.

Has anyone else seen War Horse? Can anyone comment on it's authenticity?

I saw it and it was pretty good only a few things seemed off to me (besides the horses struggles) but im not a WWI fanatic... yet. If I remember correctly a few of the German helmets appeared to be 42s. Although I forgot to pay attention to the Gew98s to make sure they were not k98s does anyone know when they switched over?

I haven't seen the movie yet but K98's came much later than WWI. The helmets you saw were probably M16's.

I am excited for 'Red Tails' on the 20th!

All of the German helmets I saw seemed to be correct. First pickelhauben, then M16s, followed by the M16s with the camo paint schemes. I even saw M16's with sniper plates attached to them.

Gew98s seemed correct, too. They looked longer than K98s, and they had straight bolt handles.

I'm also really excited for Red Tails!

I know there were alot of m-16s and the sniper plate was neat but Im pretty sure I saw at least 1 m-42 it didnt have raised vents and appeared to have a sharp edge but I could be wrong. I would like to watch redtails too are their any other upcoming good war movies?
