Here in Australia cats are an introduced species that cause untold damage to the natural environment, they are responsible for wiping out several of our native marsupials. They also kill birds, frogs, lizards, snakes and anything else that is small enough for them to get. Lots of Aussies, especially Aussie blokes hate them. I'm sure their fine where they originate from but just not here.
