Where are all the barrage balloons?

Article about: Just wondering. There must have been hundreds if not thousands produced during the war, where have they all gone? All scraped or kept in some long lost civil defence store. Come to think of

    I found this excerpt from 'The US Army Barrage Balloon project'

    'Many surplus balloons were sold after world war 2 and used for advertising purposes. The Chevrolet division of General motors corporation is known to have purchased twenty-six of the smaller balloons and used them for advertising over dealerships.'

    Interestingly the piece I have was reportedly used as under tile 'felt' on a house roof. Given that they were sold off there must be more out there.
