Here's one on the way to a re-enactor event.
Steve man! I'll actually be in Port Canaveral this summer boarding a cruise ship. We are scheduled to get back one or two days after a scheduled launch....I'm hoping on some weather or technical delays. I'd love to see that!
Cheers! Great pics gang....keep 'em coming!

Hello Rob, I hope you get to see the shuttle take off. I also watch it from my front yard here at my house. I live 40 miles from the space center.
It is something everyone should experience at least once close up. You cannot get real close, about a couple miles away, and I have been as close as the coast guard lets you on a boat in the inter-coastal waterway. If at night, it turns to daylight, and you see the shuttle going up, about a minute before you hear the roar of the rocket motors, and the ground shaking. Same during the day minus the brightness. Very odd.
Good luck, hope you time it right. Let me know.
Regards, Steve
Kilroy, nice one mate! Hoping to do Florida maybe next year! Off to Hamburg on it in June. Will be a fly/ride or car hire job if I do Florida though, too far to take a bike on the plane.
Ride safe mate.
They just won't leave me alone, even on a hot day.
