Wild bill Guarnere RIP

Article about: I was very sad to hear of Wild Bill's passing. I had the privilege to briefly sit down with him a few times at the Allentown, PA gun and militaria show. He was an amazing and kind gentleman.

Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.

Sad news to wake up to - but he had a good innings all things considered. Those who met Bill have some great memories, for sure!

May you rest in peace 'wild bill'. So sad he didn't quite see the 70th anniversary for Normandy.

Very sad to read of this. What a character he was, an old breed. I remember reading of his reaction to your sword the first time you mentioned it Joe, it made me smile at the time.

"Glad" is not the right word, but it is fitting that he was able to die an old man at peace and surrounded by loved ones, after what he went through in his youth. I bet some nights in Normandy or beyond, he would never have expected to even see the next dawn.

    R.I.P Bill.
