Hi ,
Just wanted to share with you guys the magic of Oxalic acid...
Fantastic results...
I am now really interested what this acid stuff is, the wikipedia link do not help its in english and i am living in europa :-( so i understand a little
but i do not know what to use know for cleaining
Did you buy this acid in a store and how does this stuff look like ?
I have a SS helmet in relic condition where you can see original colour
under the rust. When i know what to buy i could restore the helmet
in a nice way like yours ... i will post pictures of the restoration
of course

Re: Before and after
I did some googling around i have got a few answers.
Oxalic acid (Oxalsäure in german) is a kind of white powder (the consitence
is like sugar maybe)
How to use this kind of acid i could not find. Luis can you give me a short
instruction how it works ..?!

Re: Before and after
Very nice thank you for sharing. I have several relics from the Somme battlefields and I will try this method out on them and let you know how I get on

Re: Before and after
Ostmark,
Ask at the paint shops about the "rust converters" products, i think there are similar products like that i used in your country.
