    Hi All,

I am hoping that some of you can share your experience in cleaning the blade and pommel. Attaching a few pictures of the blade and it's condition.

Read somewhere that a person used very fine sand paper, like 1000 grit. I know this isn't the ideal way, but i wanted to clean it and apply some of that renaissance wax to protect it from rust.

    Thanks in advance!

It depends what you are try to achieve?

Do you wish to remove the black rust from the pitting in the blade or are you looking at just a protective coating or some sort or other?
