No worries mate.....I have a repro helmet buried in the backyard of my house, which we are currently renting out,it gunna be the for 18 months, mso should be good to see how it turns out!!!!!
The shell of the helmet with the cover is real, the most I do with it is repaint it....
It will be interesting to see when it's brought out of the dirt.
Let it sit underground through the monsoon season.........!
Regards,
Steve.

I saw this when you turned it into a mushroom icy pole and thought, "what a complete Nutter" no offense, but your end results look quite impressive, and i tip my hat to you for going "Extreme" well done, looks good.
I'm thinking about the tenants digging up that buried shell and getting the newspapers onto it.
"WW2 German bunker found in Sydney suburb!"
Yes a SS helmet from the little known SS "Australien Frei Korps"...carried out parachute operations inside Australia, and took part in the "Kampf der Melbourne" where the whole unit was wiped out doing a hook turn in front of a tram....their sleeve eagle was a kangaroo rogering an English lion....true story
Hmmmm, your secret solution.
Remind me never to buy a helmet cover from you!
Just kidding!!!!!!
