    Hi Nick,

    Thanks for the comments. I never change medal ribbons if I can help it, but on this set they were so far gone that I had very little choice. I once had a set in a frame exactly like yours. If memory serves me correct there were about six medals to a soldier who served at Verdun, and was twice wounded in combat. Like the idiot that I am, I eventually got rid of them. And yes, it is nice to have medals with provenance.
