ok so i will make this my last as i think everyone is pretty well bored of all this by now, anyway as you can see its a m42 lid that some idiot thought slapping a bad Normandy camo job would make this worth more the liner ring is original but in really poor condition but i will try & save it to refit it but the rest will go. so here we go again

thanks guys im going to get started on it tomorrow if the weather is ok, it looks to be in relic condition but still pretty solid & after this one i will have had done them all the m35, m40 now an m42

well it had more paint on it then i anticipated & have now run out of stripper so still allot of work to go but heres where i am with it so far & as you might be able to work out a decal..........................if only it was real

I hate using that stripper....remember to wash your hands (even if you had gloves on) before you take a restroom break! I learned that the hard way...damn it burns

Also in the first group of pics I spy a US M1 steel pot is it a front seam?

always wash my hands after using the stripper the only thing i did was grab my £300 camera with my gloves that still had stripper on them

the m1 lid in the first pic is a german post war made m1 not US but i do own 2x US M1 lids that are front seamed fixed bale types
