Gizmo sent me an old Marble's knife he found in the trash, to be cleaned up. Basically, it looked like trash when I received it. The tip was broken off, the blade was terribly rusted, and the sheath was stiff as a board. Over the past 2 days, I've cleaned it up. Yesterday, I reground a tip, got rid of the excess rust, and did other small tidbits. Today, I really went to town. I used a fine grit sandpaper to shine the blade up, sharpened it real good, and cleaned up the leather. I've put about 5 hours into this knife so far. All in all, I'm about 95% done. Just a few more small tasks to do, and it will be shipped right back to him.
