i can not believe the carelessness of the us postal service these days! Not long ago i ordered a new Blackberry storm 2 ($350) and i watched the delivery guy TOSS the box on to my porch from several feet away, i confronted him about it and he had the balls to try to deny it!

Dont forget that this is a non combat helmet and was more than likely used by civic authorities, there is a classic example listed in the Goodapple book, "German Helmets 1933--1945", which shows a beaded m40 with the decal above the bead and to the rear of the vent, the same as the one posted here, there are other examples of helmets with decals at different positions , ones that you would not expect to see
