    thanks harry,
    it was a fun project. only took 5 days. most of the time was waiting on the zinc to de plate.

    Wow... amazing work. I'm starting to regret passing up all of those chromed rifles and pistols over the years.

    Andrew, did you end up heating the parts before you re-blued them? I have not tried this in the past.

    I have had great results with cold metal and cold water, finishing with fine steel wool to darken the blueing. I have a K98 and a MKII Sten I will be starting on soon. Yours looks great!!

    Excellent job. You've taken what was to me an eyesore and made a beautiful piece out of it. Great work. It looks terrific now.
