As some of you noticed, I had some experimenting with my M55. I wanted to convert it to WW2 period style.

Here's beginning, some middle way and end result.

The shiny paint was a little experiment, which I redid with ''authentic'' german paint sprays. Feldgrau und dunkelgelb. The dunkelgelb stripes came too bright for my taste, so I sprayed the helmet all over from great distance so the stripes darkened more and the paintjob became far more suitable for Ostfront. I happened to find a roll of period style chicken wire and decided to make a full basket wire from it. The scratches weren't intended, but hey, it looks more used that way, which impression I aimed to. I may darken the wire a little bit in flames.

Nice job but it may look better if you remove the two extra helmet pins and filled the holes to give it a more German helmet look
