    Hi, it depends on the object you need to clean. For an helmet, I usually use few table spoons in warm water. Much less for small objects and less water. But you have also to brush them often while soaked.
    It won't hurt if you leave the object longer soaked, but I keep it for 30 mins - 1 hour. Sometimes few hours, it depends how deep I have to clean it or if I only want to revive the paint only. regards
