Saving a Belgium mark 2 helmet

Article about: Ok so i was add my local antique shop and this appeared. It looked awful in the shop . I knew someone had done something to the helmet. Someome spray painted it black and put a dodgy ARP sym

    I'm guessing that the black glossy paint was solvent based and was therefore easier to remove than say enamel paint. Great rescue JB!
